Prem Goyal, CEO of Global Markets Consultants, and Aaron D’Souza, APP London Assembly candidate for City & East, were invited to the Shakespeare 400 service at Southwark Cathedral on Saturday 23 April.

The event was graced by HRH Prince Phillip, Patron of Shakespeare’s Globe, and Ken Olisa OBE, HM Lord-Lieutenant for Greater London, as well as many civic and business leaders from Southwark, including local Councillors and the Mayor of Southwark.

The service blended liturgy and theatre, with a sermon being read by the Bishop of London and actors from the Globe’s winter season performing scenes from the Bard’s work.

After the service, Prem said: “I’ve learned more about Shakespeare in the last one hour than in the last 50 years. To maintain Shakespeare’s legacy, I’d like to support Shakespeare’s Globe and explore new ideas with its executives.”

Thank you to the Dean of Southwark, the Very Revd Andrew Nunn, and Shakespeare’s Globe for jointly organising this enlightening event.
