Celebrating Guildhall Creative Entrepreneurs
Prem Goyal was invited by Helena Gaunt, Vice-Principal of Guildhall School of Music and Drama, to the Guildhall Creative Entrepreneurs Pitch event on Thursday 14 July.
Guildhall Creative Entrepreneurs is the school’s business incubator, providing support, funding and mentoring to aspiring entrepreneurs from Guildhall’s alumni and from across the creative industries.
Of the 11 pitches, Prem’s favourite was Drumworks, who won the first place prize award. They are a music project based in East London with a vision to build a community where every individual is empowered to make positive choices about their future.
After the event, Prem said: “I was extremely impressed with the quality of pitches displayed this evening. It was no surprise that Drumworks was awarded first place; They had a really sound business strategy for growth and a good vision to build cohesion in the East London community.”
To help performing arts entrepreneurs with their business skills, Prem is going to explore different ideas with Guildhall School in the coming months.
Helena Gaunt said: “It was a fantastic night and it was a pleasure to have Prem there to experience it. We were very pleased to have his input and we look forward to discussing his ideas in more details in the near future.”
Thanks to Helena and Duncan Barker, Head of Development at Guildhall School, for organising this wonderful event.
