Helping Bsix College with Ofsted inspection
Last week, I had the pleasure of representing Bsix Sixth Form College’s Humanities Advisory Board at a routine Ofsted Inspection.
I found the meeting with the Oxsted inspector to be incredibly positive and constructive. The Head of Humanities, an advisory board colleague and myself enjoyed answering his questions about the college’s ambitious education delivery plan for students.
In particular, I noted Bsix College’s commitment to giving personalied expert advice to each individual student on their next steps in life, whether it be employment or attaining higher education.
I also detailed the college’s desire to build meaningful working relationships with top businesses in the City of London, with the goal of setting-up more work experience placements for students. Knowing the City as I do, I’m extremely confident that business leaders will reciprocate this level of enthusiasm.
We were warmly thanked for volunteering our time after the meeting by Rebekah Westgate, Assistant Principal, who gladly welcomed my feedback on the meeting with the inspector. Taking part in an Ofsted experience was a gratifying experience for me personally and I look forward to partaking in similar experiences with the college in the near future.
